Home Staging
When selling your home, it is important to understand the difference between decorating for living, and decorating for selling.
Often, our personalized touches, no matter how tasteful and representative of our own style preferences, can be off-putting to potential buyers. Since the goal of the listing is to sell, it is beneficial to create an atmosphere where people viewing your home find it easy to picture themselves and their individual lifestyles in it. This results in the quickest sale with the most profit possible.

The overall condition and tidiness of the room was well prepared for sale, however the purpose of the room was unclear to potential buyers.
Often furniture and accessories are rented to assist buyers in visualizing the room. As well, neutralized paint colours and decor are often implemented for this same purpose. For this particular home, due to time constraints, we worked with the homeowners existing furniture and accessories for showcasing.

Again, using the homeowners furniture and accessories, we were able to 'pare down' to avoid distraction from the features of the room.

By changing the rooms layout and removing some of the unnecessary pieces, we were able to apply clear definition to this room and showcase its space.
The staging of this house took one day. It was listed on MLS® and the following day it received multiple offers and sold for $10,000 above asking price.
Selling agents' comments included; "very nice unit, spacious, very clean, great layout. I could tell it had been staged, no senior has so little in their home – good job”
